Sidney Lumet’s movie Network is pretty much the Rosetta Stone of the situation we have found ourselves in for the last 5-10 years at least.
I very much like calling every other thing a “Rosetta Stone”—because it’s cool to say. That said, this 1976 drama predicted our “reality-TV” culture, in which he (or she) who rants loudest—and more or less most “truthy”—captures the attention and loyalty of the masses.
