“To be alive is the biggest fear humans have. Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive—the risk to be alive and express what we really are. Just being ourself is the biggest fear of humans.”
–Don Miguel Ruiz, “The Four Agreements”
Well, I’m not sure how much writing I’m going to do today—I have a bunch of different ideas, but I’m sort of taking my time. But as an update—
I went to the walk-in clinic through my health insurance yesterday, and it was a very good experience. Super-new, progressive clinic with a bright young staff. They went through all of my health issues like a crack team of archeologists. I feel I am in good hands, and my insurance is paid through at least the end of February so I feel secure.
Yesterday night, I dreamt I was told the following:
“Demons” are “real,” in the sense that they are some quantum conglomeration of personal experiences, inherited propensities, the collective unconscious, spiritual “energy,” and perhaps (perhaps) even something “intelligent” beyond our realm of understanding.
That said: we cannot completely reject Western medicine in our quest to defeat these demons. To be clear, Western medicine is not perfect, can have side-effects, can be used irresponsibly, can even be used sinisterly; all these things. But the fight between Positive and Negative forces right now is so pressing, and currently impacts so many humans (I mean, just click on any story in the Daily Mail), that we need everything in our “arsenal” in order to prevail and have as healthy and productive a life as possible.
Because if we can’t have a healthy and productive life, we can’t help others.
And that’s where I’ll leave it for now. Have a good Friday.
