Let The Rabbit Be Your Guide: Esoteric Bunny Symbolism

Thank you, Harvey—I prefer you too!
–Elwood P. Dowd (not to be confused with J. R. Bob Dobbs)

Thanks to the movie Donnie Darko, human-sized rabbits—once the purview of Easter photo-ops and “nice” flicks like 1950’s Harvey—have taken on somewhat of a sinister cast. But if you haven’t yet picked up on the more unsettling—or at least uncanny—aspects of Oryctolagus cuniculus, you haven’t been paying attention!

Is April Really The CRUELEST Month? (The Historical Evidence)

lkhb.jpg

A couple of years ago I started a calendar of events in world history to help better shape the content on this site. I thought it’d be helpful if I knew when certain anniversaries were going to come up, and things like that.

And as I went through April, I noticed something really strange—April seemed to be historically a really “dark” month. A lot of significant—often violent and/or “dark”—events have happened in April, especially in the second half of the month. This falls in line with what I’ve heard of regarding April being the “cruelest” month.

April Fool’s Day, Fake News, And The Reality Wars

ap1.jpg

April Fool’s Day…now THERE’S a subject. Especially in our current age.

One possible origin of April Fool’s Day, according to Snopes (and we’ll be circling back ’round to this site in a bit), involves the switching from the Julian to Gregorian calendars in 1582.

In the western world under the old system, New Year’s was technically on March 25—but, because of the Holy Week, celebrated on April 1. The story went that those who forgot about the switchover to the Gregorian calendar—which firmly established January 1 as the beginning of the year—and said “Happy New Year!” on April 1 were “fools.”

Is The “Devil Horns” Hand Gesture Evil?

hjkhjhk.jpg

Some conspiracy theorists insist that the so-called “devil horns” hand gesture, which has been seen used by scores of celebrities, politicians, and other public figures, is supposed to represent allegiance to Satan. Does this hand-sign have some sort of occult meaning, or is it just a playful affectation that looks good in a photograph? The answer is…both yes and no.

Talking Back To The “Alien”

hljhknnhnlih.jpg

I recently watched a video from a mystic-type person I follow on YouTube. She started doing this channeling thing and I think I kind of momentarily crapped my pants. It was so sudden; just cutting the woman off in mid-sentence and “bubbling” out from her. But the advice she (or it…or they???) gave was so on-point—it felt almost as if this type of entity was SPEAKING RIGHT TO ME, sort of reading my mind and addressing my issues.

Then a little bit later on I watched some other videos from the series and I suddenly had a bad, dark, terrible feeling.

Spring Break In The Dead Zone

“A procession of the damned.
By the damned, I mean the excluded.
We shall have a procession of data that Science has excluded.”
–Charles Fort, “The Book Of The Damned”

This is a story about two dreams I had that seemingly came true to a very specific degree.

I am not saying they were precognitive dreams. We can simply call them “coincidences.” We can call them whatever we’d like. It’s just a matter of semantics, really.

Thoughts On The “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” Trailer

jlkl.jpg

And so the trailer for the long-awaited 9th film by Quentin Tarantino (I go into the significance of the Number Nine as it relates to the subject matter in my post “The Manson Frequency”) has dropped on the Day of the Goddess Eostre, Ostara, the Vernal Equinox.

So it is no surprise that one of the first images we see is that of Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, in front of a goddess-like image.
