Instant Replay Part 1: June Moon

june-moon.jpg

Note: In June of 2018, I temporarily ceased blogging on Butterfly Language and continued on a separate site, Instant Replay. In deference to my completist nature, here are those posts. There might be some content that I later “remixed” elsewhere on this blog, but I kind of like the “narrative” the posts as a whole tell about that little slice of my life.

In this part you’ll be introduced to both Skippy, the Bastard Stepson Of Eris, and the persuasive power of Strategic Delusion™ (which I invented). We’ll also revisit the Alex Jones/Bill Hicks conspiracy theory, and look at the Horus archetype as symbol for the current era. Then there are the Satanic Clowns Of Prague, the sync-ridden death of young rapper XXXTentacion, a meditation on the latest mass shooting (of which there have been MANY MORE since), and the concept of Wetiko. Enjoy.

“Well, there it is.”
–Ian Malcolm, “Jurassic Park”

So I played around with this idea for a while—just putting up an entire past journal more or less in the format it was recorded in. So I figured since I started with De Vinculis, I might as well just finish it.

Just as a recap: I chose these selections for this volume because they all seemed to be pointing to the same path & involving overlapping and quite heavily esoteric imagery. It should be noted that prior to 2010, I was not doing much journaling, dream recall, or anything like that since around 2004-2006. So this followed sort of a “dry spell” for me in that regard.

Then there was the automatic writing material from the same period—which, frankly, felt like a completely new element in my life. Now, I did do a few pieces of channeling in 2005, but these ones from five years after that felt much more “precise.” It touched upon specific things that would become centerpieces of my esoteric work in the crucial 2013-2015 period.

The sequence of dreams I had in the end of February/beginning of March in 2012 were particularly occult in their imagery and felt “related.” In particular, they all seemed to reference Crowleyan symbolism and even terminology.

I cannot vouch for the entertainment value, here, and you do not have to read all this. Caveat emptor, cogito ergo sum, frito lay, etc. Hyperlinks where appropriate; probably put too many, but again: I’ve always wanted to try something like this, so we’ll see how it goes.

This is going to be quite a bit of work, so I’m going to take a little break after this. It’s mentally exhausting. I’m not even sure why I’m doing it. I’ve put a lot up here lately, and I guess it all has a purpose.

Lastly: this is a sort of shamanic metaphysical exercise with a lot of pop-culture references. It’s probably a bit messy, corny, whatever. It’s not supposed to mean anything. It’s all dream-stuffs.

With thanks to the Muse, as always.

11.10.18: The Kali Kiss

“Judo and many other of the self-defensive arts of the Orient are concerned with a peculiar kind of courage; a courage that must be completely removed from anxiety and fear. If fear exists, the individual is weakened by the rise of a terror within himself, and therefore usually comes to disaster in his own day and in his own way. So in judo before the artist achieves the highest grades of the art, he must be killed. His teacher kills him. His teacher performs certain structural pressures upon the body to stop the heart; and the heart is allowed to be stopped for a certain number of seconds, for one or two minutes. Then the master resuscitates the disciple by applying pressure to other parts of the body, according to the higher grades of judo. And in this case, the person who has been killed lives again; remembers and knows what happened to him, and realizes that his fear of death was ungrounded. That the fear of transition, that might make him coward in this world, is simply an illusion in his own mind. That actually, transition was just as reasonable, natural, and normal as any act of life. And that there was no interruption—the individual never ceased—to be an individual being, whether in-body or out of it.”
–Manly P. Hall, “The Initiation Of The Pyramid” (I think)
