All My Oswalds: “Harvey And Lee” And Other Tales

“Think of two parallel lines…One is the life of Lee H. Oswald. One is the conspiracy to kill the President. What bridges the space between them? What makes a connection inevitable? There is a third line. It comes out of dreams, visions, intuitions, prayers, out of the deepest levels of the self. It’s not generated by cause and effect like the other two lines. It’s a line that cuts across causality, cuts across time. It has no history that we can recognize or understand. But it forces a connection.”
–Don DeLillo, “Libra”

Every once in a while, I revisit the topic of Lee Harvey Oswald’s possible doppelgangers. I do this because I’m generally a well-adjusted person who is fun at parties.

The Manson Frequency

“Five to one, baby
One in five
No one here gets out alive”
–The Doors, “Five To One”

The passing of Charles Manson last year inevitably led me to revisit the Sinister Forces trilogy by Peter Levenda, with the “Manson Secret” being the “scarlet thread of murder” that runs through all three volumes. Merely dipping a toe within chapter 11 of book two, “Night Of The Long Knives,” is like plunging headlong into a rabbit hole of leviathan (every meaning of the word) proportions—a rabbit hole that not only encompasses Manson and the Sharon Tate murder, but Egyptian Gods, MKUltra, the JFK assassination, The Beach Boys, and even Richard M. Nixon.

Uri Geller Claims He Was Hired By The CIA To Investigate The JFK Assassination

The rest of the secret JFK assassination files are scheduled to be released this Thursday, and as expected, a lot of weird and interesting stuff is coming out of the woodwork. For example, psychic Uri Geller recently revealed in a Facebook post that he was hired by the CIA to investigate the JFK assassination…

Uh…I got a lot of questions here.

Book Review: Richard Belzer’s “Dead Wrong”

There are those in positions of power who malign the pursuit of justice by intentionally associating the word “conspiracy” with the delirious hallucinations of unbalanced minds. They’re wrong. The real-world definition of conspiracy is simply; two or more persons agreeing to commit a crime. In short, they are everywhere, a constant component of daily events throughout our history, and are by no means the restless imaginings of an over-attentive audience.
–Richard Belzer, “Dead Wrong”

Richard Belzer, the co-author of the book Dead Wrong (2012, Skyhorse Publishing) is a synchromystic “nexus” in his own right; his conspiracy-theorist role John Munch appearing on more different TV shows than any other character. Outside of his main “beats” on Homicide and Law & Order SVU, Munch has “crossed over” in The X-Files, Arrested Development, The Wire, Luther, and a number of others. These “crossovers” are significant in that they not only have transcended the barriers of individual television programs, but even whole networks.

Massive Dump Of JFK Assassination Docs Released By U.S. Government

The United States government just released a whole bunch of formerly classified CIA and FBI documents pertaining to the John F. Kennedy assassination, which you can access here. They are available to download in several zip files, and there spreadsheets detailing the info in each file for you to browse.

This release is in accordance with the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, which mandates that all records (millions of them) associated with the case be released to the public by October 26, 2017.

Book Review: Sinister Forces By Peter Levenda

Politics and religion both are born of documents and of blood. And both documents and blood form the primary sources of the following investigation.
—Peter Levenda, “Sinister Forces Book One: The Nine”

It took me about two years to finish the three volumes of Peter Levenda’s Sinister Forces. Not because they were that long, but because he provides an incredible amount to process. For fans of the esoteric, this book is a must-have; though when you take out the musings on synchronicity and the occult, the series is pretty much straight, sourced history.

Levenda is an author I trust. And if you are going to take the slow-dive down the 100-story secret underground rabbit hole of American history that is being offered with a book like Sinister Forces, you need somebody you can trust. Anything else is Chapel Perilous-ville.
